In an interview with French newspaper Le Monde, Araghchi said Iran remains committed to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and has no plans to withdraw, despite what he described as violations and attacks from the US and Israel.
Nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington have been at a standstill since June 13, when Israel launched strikes on nuclear facilities and military bases in Iran. Prospects for resuming negotiations dimmed further after the US carried out airstrikes on three major Iranian nuclear sites on June 22.
