Araghchi told reporters in Tehran following a cabinet meeting that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons and its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.

In a message released on Wednesday, President Trump said he wants Iran to be a successful country, but it should not possess nuclear weapons. He dismissed several reports of an imminent US-Israel attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, called for a verified nuclear peace agreement, and said he supports a prosperous future for Iran.
