(VOVWORLD) - Tehran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is in a state of suspension, adding that the UN nuclear agency has no inspectors in Iran right now, the spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said Monday.

Esmaeil Baqaei added that restarting Iran's cooperation with the IAEA would need approval from Parliament, just like the law that halted cooperation after the IAEA stayed silent on US and Israeli attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites last June.

Tehran earlier accused the IAEA of falsely reporting on its nuclear program, giving the US and Israel an excuse to attack Iran’s nuclear sites, even though Iran is a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
