The 22nd summit, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will open on July 4, the ministry said. The theme of this year's summit is "For a secure SCO".
Iran, Belarus, and Mongolia have been invited as observer states, and Turkmenistan invited as the guest of the Chair, per SCO tradition.
