The agency seized digital devices, documents, and incriminating books during the searches.

The radicalization was being carried out in the garb of holding Arabic language classes conducted through regional study centers.

Such radicalization activities were being conducted online through social media platforms and mobile applications such as WhatsApp and Telegram, the NIA’s spokesperson said.

The searches came after the NIA in Chennai province reported a case related to the clandestine activities of a group of people seeking to indoctrinate youngsters with extremist ideology.
