In a statement, the agency confirmed that a group of its inspectors had safely departed Iran and was returning to IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria, following heightened tensions between Iran and Israel.
This move comes after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a decree on July 2 suspending cooperation with the IAEA. While the decree does not specify a timeframe or details, the decision will further restrict IAEA inspectors' activities within the Islamic Republic.
