Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets across Vietnam to celebrate the thrilling victory. They waved national flags and banners and played horns and drums.
Hanoi’s central streets were packed until past midnight with celebrators flocking to Hoan Kiem Lake.
In Ho Chi Minh City, tens of thousands of people gathered Nguyen Hue walking street and Me Linh Square. In Thanh Hoa, Bien Hoa, Long An, Pleiku, and Can Tho, crowds of fans cheered the victory all night long.
Everyone was excited about Vietnam’s third Southeast Asian championship title.
“I’m very happy Vietnam won the championship. The footballers played enthusiastically and energetically. I hope they will further improve. Vietnam is unbeatable.”
