The campaign organized by the city’s Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee has run from December 15, 2022 to February 28, 2023.

Director of HCMC’s Blood Donation Center, Tran Thi Tham, said: "The city’s goal for this year is to receive 220,000 blood pints, which may change with demands. 2023’s blood supply is expected to meet the city’s demand even during the summer and Lunar New Year."

In 2022, Ho Chi Minh City received nearly 245,000 blood pints or 337,000 blood units.
