Under the MoU, AMD will support several key initiatives spearheaded by HCM City’s authorities, including piloting policies, co-hosting innovation events, and evaluating the investment environment within the Saigon Hi-Tech Park.
The company will work closely with local educational institutions to improve the capacity of lecturers, students, and city officials.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that the cooperation between the municipal administration and AMD demonstrates the local government’s strong commitment to high-tech development at the city and national levels.
He called on all parties involved to work together in building a strong partnership ecosystem, including universities, high-tech parks, and enterprises, to promote the development and application of technology, especially green technology.
"The two sides need to outline a specific plan with defined goals. Since our current cooperation focuses on training, we must address human resource development across various levels and sectors. AMD should work with Ho Chi Minh City to better understand actual needs, helping the city become a hub for investment, industry, and business development by leveraging AMD’s technological advancements," said Ha.
