Experts and scientists agreed that a circular economy plays an important role in implementing green growth, green economy, and sustainable development.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duc Minh, Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, said: “Vietnam has many opportunities to implement a circular economy, but there are still many tasks to be done related to design, planning, coordination, information, technical infrastructure, and social and environmental issues. Circular economy requires the participation of many subjects, including businesses, investors, scientists, universities, people, and the communities.”

Delegates said it’s an urgent task to apply a circular economy as Vietnam is facing many challenges of resources, environmental pollution, and climate change.
