In a statement on Sunday, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said Kushner had been called in to appear on Monday, describing his allegations as “unacceptable.”
The move followed an op-ed by Kushner, published in The Wall Street Journal, in which he claimed France had not curbed a “dramatic rise in antisemitism,” linking the issue to Paris’ criticism of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.
France strongly rejected the claims, insisting authorities have “fully mobilized” to counter antisemitic acts on French soil.
The White House and the US State Department have not yet commented on the dispute.
