The contest, launched last August, was designed for children suffered from cancer and fatal diseases, Agent Orange/dioxin victims, those with disabilities, autism, and orphans. Some 250 outstanding works out of 2,300 entries are on display at an exhibition.
President Phuc told the children during the meeting on Friday: “We have to promote the spirit of victorious Vietnam in people of all ages, particularly children of disadvantages. We admire their will to overcome difficulties and diseases to draw thousands of paintings which are highly appreciated by the public. Their wonderful works reflect humanity in lives and the strong spirit of Vietnamese children to spread positive energy in life and society.”
The President called on relevant agencies and the whole society to support vulnerable children and help them realize their dreams.
