The three-day festival features a conference on Phu Quoc geographical indication fish sauce, an exhibition of local specialties and One Commune-One Product (OCOP) items, culinary competitions, folk games, and cultural exchanges.
In 2021, Phu Quoc’s traditional fish sauce making was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
The fish sauce industry is promoting connections with domestic and international tours and exports via e-commerce channels.
Phu Quoc City has proposed building a Center for Research and Conservation of Traditional Fish Sauce there.
