At a virtual meeting between EU and Ukrainian foreign ministers, ahead of the talks on Friday in Alaska between President Trump and President Putin, the EU countries also discussed additional sanctions against Russia, and increased financial support and military aid for Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said any decisions against Ukriane, any decisions without Ukraine, are also decisions against peace. He said Ukraine is “ready for real decisions that can bring peace.”
During an interview on Fox News program “Sunday Morning Futures”, US Vice-President JD Vance said the United States is working to schedule a meeting between Presidents Trump, Putin, and Zelensky. "One of the most important logjams is that Vladimir Putin said that he would never sit down with Zelenskyy," Vance said. "And the president has now got that to change."
