(VOVworld) – European parliamentarians called on European countries to enact more drastic measures to prevent the EU immigrant crisis from spreading.

At a European Parliament meeting on Tuesday to discuss the decision made at the recent EU summit on immigrant crisis, European Council President Donald Tusk said the task now is to help immigrants and to secure Europe’s external borders. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker called for co-operation between the EU and Turkey in assisting immigrants.
