Eurotunnel says services were suspended for 'safety reasons'

In Finland, about 1,500 people joined marches supporting or opposing migrants. Local media said protesters took to the streets in Helsinki, Tampere, Lahti, and Tornio. In Helsinki, clashes occurred between “Close borders" and “Open Finland” groups.

In another development, French has mobilized more police to reinforce security in the Channel Tunnel following what it called a "massive invasion and intrusion" of over 100 migrants overnight from France to the UK. Eurotunnel was forced to suspend all train services between Folkestone and Calais. Services resumed at 10am but there are three hour delays for Calais passengers, and two and a half hour delays for UK passengers.
