(VOVworld) – The Prime Minister has ratified an E-commerce Development Master Plan for the 2016-2020 period. Under the plan, the government will build a network of e-commerce transactions across Vietnam. Legal infrastructure will be completed for e-commerce with comprehensive adjusted legal documents. A national e-commerce payment system will be established and developed for all kinds of e-commerce payment models including business to consumer, business to business, government to consumer, and government to business. By 2020, 30 percent of the population will shop online, spending about 350 USD per person. 80 percent of businesses will carry out e-commerce transactions. 100 percent of supermarkets and shopping centers will allow card payment. And 70 percent of electricity, water, and telecommunications providers will allow online payment.
