(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has called on members of the central citizen reception board to continue to be a bridge between the Party, the state, and the people.

At a New Year meeting in Hanoi on Monday, Deputy PM Phuc said the board’s officials should listen attentively to citizens’ opinions to handle and protect their legitimate rights.

He said citizen reception has the responsibility and the duty to meet people’s legitimate aspirations, which relevant agencies have been able to do.

He asked for increased oversight of leaders of ministries, sectors, and provinces in dealing with complaints and denunciations and the organization of regular dialogues to learn citizens’ thoughts and wishes.

Mr. Phuc insisted that the Party and government will always pay attention to citizen reception and ensure the spiritual and material life of the central citizen reception board’s officials so that they feel secure enough to complete all assignments.
