Mr. Parilla expressed regret at the US’s decision to maintain a hostile policy toward Cuba, and pointed to the process that lasted from 2014 to 2016 as solid evidence of the ability to move towards a normalization of bilateral relations.
Parilla said that despite a blockade, attacks on Cuba's embassy in Washington, and the closure of US consular services in Havana, the two countries still maintain several channels of communication and active negotiations on migration issues.
