The ministers pledged 50 million euros for earthquake recovery, of which Turkey will receive 33 million euros and Syria will receive 17 million euros.

With this new support package, Germany will have provided a total of 108 million euros for the earthquake victims. The German military has mobilized more than 20 flights to transport more than 340 tons of aid to Turkey.

Four planes carrying 140 tons of disaster relief supplies departed Jakarta's Halim Airport for Turkey and Syria on Tuesday.

The magnitude-7.8 earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria two weeks ago has killed more than 47,000 people.
