(VOVworld) - The parliaments of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam (CLMV), shared experience in monitoring and managing the State budget and public investment at a conference in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Monday.

Cambodian National Assembly leader Heng Samrin called the event an opportunity for the legislative bodies of the four countries to exchange ideas and seek a strategic plan and policies to ensure that the State budget and public investment are used in an effective, transparent, and responsible manner.
During the two-day conference, participants shared lessons in State audit, reviewed the outcomes of the previous conference in Da Nang, and mapped out future cooperation plans.
Chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly’s Finance and Budget Committee Nguyen Duc Hai chaired a discussion on improving the National Assembly’s monitoring role in public investment.
