In the article, Xi Jinping emphasized the Chinese Party and Government put the relationship with Vietnam as a priority in relations with neighboring countries, joining hands to steadily advance socialism. President Xi said that the two sides need to continue to maintain high-level strategic exchanges; steadfastly support each other on the socialist path in accordance with each country's situation, and coordinate well the two major issues of development and security; enhance friendly exchanges; and properly manage differences on maritime issues.
The Chinese President emphasized that China will keep its neighborhood policy consistent and stable. “We will remain committed to the guidelines of developing friendship and partnership with our neighbors and fostering an amicable, secure and prosperous neighborhood,” the article said.
Talking to a Voice of Vietnam reporter, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said Xi Jinping’s state visit marks a new historic milestone in bilateral relations, where leaders of the two Parties and countries will further deepen the cooperation framework for the long-term future of the two countries' relationship in a more sustainable, substantive and effective direction.
“We hope that through this visit, the two sides will create more opportunities to promote practical and effective cooperation. The leaders of the two countries will discuss major directions and focuses as well as specific measures to strengthen practical and effective cooperation in the coming time. In addition, a large number of documents will be signed, creating an important basis for agencies, localities, people and businesses to cooperate more effectively in many fields,” Vu said.

Chinese experts and businesses expect that the Vietnam visit by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping will promote cooperation between Vietnam and China.
