In an interview with the Canberra Times, Nam said bilateral ties have grown steadily over the years and visits between high-ranking leaders have created impetus to bring relations to new heights.
The ambassador said that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will make an official visit to Australia next month, during which Vietnam and Australia will sign a document upgrading their ties to a strategic partnership, opening up a new era of relations for the two countries.
The visit will also outline goals and directions of the bilateral relationship for the future.
