(VOVworld) – Ukrainian Udar Party candidate Peter Poroshenko declared victory in Ukraine’s presidential election after preliminary exit polls showed that the pro-Europe chocolate billionaire won 55.9 per cent of the votes, followed by former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko with 12.9 per cent. After the preliminary result was published, the Kiev government insisted the presidential elections were held in transparency and openness. Protesters in eastern Ukraine said they don’t accept the election’s result.
