Ukraine’s former President Leonid Kravchuk said the key issues now are ending the bloody violence and preserving Ukraine’s unity. Envoy Wolfgang Oschinger of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said a memorandum on peace and reconciliation approved by the Ukrainian Parliament on Tuesday was the first practical result of the dialogue. He said the national dialogue was important as Ukraine approaches a presidential election on Sunday. Oschinger called on the Ukrainian people to respect and protect democracy for the up-coming presidential election.
