At a launching ceremony on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, said, “Trees help prevent natural disasters, soil erosion, and floods while improving the air quality and ecological environment. They also bring economic benefits, improving people’s lives and contributing to socio-economic development."

"I hope that the tree-planting campaign of Ben Tre province will reap success and set a shining example for other localities.”

After the launching ceremony, Ben Tre started planting trees on major roads, urban areas, and tourist spots.
