International Paralympic Committee (IPC) president Andrew Parsons delivered a speech, saying "Through this unity we have hope. Hopes for inclusion, hopes for harmony and importantly hopes for peace."

Mayor of Beijing Chen Jining handed over the Paralympic flag to the IPC president, then the flag was given to Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo city officials of Italy, the host of the 2026 Winter Paralympics.

More than 560 athletes with disabilities from 46 countries and territories competed in the past nine days for 78 sets of medals of 6 sports.

The host team China ranked first with a total of 61 medals, including 18 gold medals. Ukraine came second with 11 gold medals and Canada finished third with 8 gold medals.
