The event will be held simultaneously across four districts and cities. Throughout the week-long event in Bac Kan city, Cho Don district, Ba Be district, and Na Ri district, activities will introduce cuisine, agricultural, and forestry products, include traditional cultural and sports events, and promote new tourism products.

In Na Ri district, there will be Xuan Duong Love Market Festival, while Cho Don district will offer activities associated with the Cho Don Night Market.

Tran Dinh That, Deputy Director of Bac Kan Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "Bac Kan Culture and Tourism Week 2024 will have two main themes: the preservation and promotion of national cultural identity, and the development of tourism. The highlight of this year's festivities will be a grand bowl dance performance involving 1,000 participants."

Bowl dance describes the weaving activities of the Tay people in the past. The instrument used for performing this dance includes a bowl and chopsticks which are used in daily meals.

In Ba Be district, the tourism center of Bac Kan province, visitors can go boating, visit lakeside villages, explore Ba Be national forest, and savor local specialties. Other activities include exploring Tham Phay Cave, often compared to Bac Kan's Son Doong cave, canoeing on the lake, and participating in the Ba Be Lake Marathon.
