(VOVWORLD) - The South Australia-Vietnam Business Council hosted a business forum in Adelaide on Monday to introduce opportunities and potential for trade with Vietnam to the Australian business community and promote investment.

Australian businesses said they are interested in the prospect of a stable investment environment in Vietnam, and Vietnam's policies on technology development and education.

A renewable energy company in South Australia is looking to learn about opportunities to expand cooperation with Vietnam. There are Australian businesses that want to see direct flights between South Australia and Vietnam as well as Vietnamese banks opening branches in South Australia, according to the forum.

Nguyen Dang Thang, Vietnamese Consul General in New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland answered questions and briefed Australian businesses on Vietnamese projects calling for foreign investment in the 2021-2025 period.
