(VOVworld) – Twenty-eight outstanding works by ASEAN artists about environmental protection and climate change were honoured Thursday at an award ceremony in Hanoi.

A Vietnamese photo entitled “The role of forests and climate change” and “Jungle Beat” by the Malaysian National Film Development Corporation shared the first prize honours.
Vietnam’s Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son said the event contributed to an ASEAN vision for 2020 that looks to build a green and clean ASEAN with effective mechanisms for stable development, environmental protection, and improving the quality of life of ASEAN members. It also promoted cooperation and mutual understanding among ASEAN members in the process of building a strong ASEAN Community and realising the ASEAN Charter.
