(VOVworld) – Vietnam was committed to action to deal with climate change, said Deputy Prime Minister and Vice Chairman of the National Committee for Climate Change, Hoang Trung Hai, at the third conference with donors to the National Support Program for Response to Climate Change (SP-RCC) in Hanoi on Monday.

 Mr. Hai stressed that Vietnam had exerted great efforts in implementing activities to address climate change. The issue has been included in Vietnam’s strategies, planning and socio-economic development plans. At the conference, donors spoke highly of the Government’s role in guiding the implementation of mechanisms and policies related to the program. The donors also confirmed their financial support for the SP-RCC program in the coming years, enabling Vietnam to move forward with activities and provide technical support for building and implementing responses to climate change.
