In his message sent to the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the growth of the mechanism.
“I appreciate ADMM+'s development in the last 10 years. ADMM+, a mechanism of extremely great stature, has demonstrated its effectiveness as a defense-security cooperation and policy advisory mechanism at the Ministerial level. It has adapted to emerging non-traditional security challenges.”
Prime Minister Phuc said all nations need to resolve conflicts and differences through mutual trust and good will in order to achieve peace, stability, and development, particularly during the current COVID-19 pandemic. ASEAN-centered regional cooperation mechanisms like ADMM+ need to be upheld, he said.
