Phu Quoc is Vietnam’s largest island, covering an area of 580 square kilometers. Known among travel enthusiasts as "Pearl Island,” Phu Quoc, together with 21 surrounding islets, forms what is known today as the Phu Quoc Island City complex.

Phu Quoc is voted the most beautiful island in Asia and the world’s top 3 most beautiful islands in a recent Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 poll by American travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler. The achievement is only possible thanks to a comprehensive tourism development strategy in line with international standards and the island’s own pristine natural beauty.

Conde Nast Traveler announced its list of “the best islands in the world: Readers’ Choice Awards” on October 7, 2025.

Phu Quoc topped the list in Asia with an aggregated score of 95.51/100, based on tourists’ satisfaction with its service quality, scenery, beach, cuisine, and hospitality.

The Pearl Island came in third in the world’s ranking, behind Kiawah and Hilton Head islands of the US, and ahead of famous attractions like the Maldives (92.31), Maui in Hawaii (93.35), Bali (89.84), and Phuket (84.62).
