Businesses in Hanoi’s Old Quarter shutdown due to COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - Many shops in Hanoi which are struggling to recover from the COVID-19 epidemic have once again had to shut down since the epidemic reemerged in Vietnam after 99 days.

The “international intersection”, a popular attraction for foreign backpackers, in Ta Hien street in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter is empty. Apart from bars and karaoke parlors, many food stalls and cafes are closed. Shops and cafes on Ta Hien street have been shut down since August 1.

On old streets in Hanoi, shops which are closed due to COVID-19 include travel companies, food stalls and spas.
