Organized by the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam in partnership with RMIT Vietnam, the hybrid event combined keynote lectures with a live panel discussion.
Three Swedish distinguished speakers delivered keynote addresses. Dr. Gustav Källstrand of the Nobel Prize Museum presented an overview of the Nobel Prize’s history and legacy. Professor Ulf Danielsson, theoretical physicist at Uppsala University and member of the Nobel Committee for Physics, offered insights into the Nobel selection process and reflected on the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics awarded for breakthroughs in AI. Professor Virginia Dignum of Umeå University emphasized responsible AI, stressing the importance of ethics, trust, and cooperation in innovation.
A panel discussion titled “AI’s Role in Future Learning and Teaching” featured leaders from the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Centre, Ericsson Vietnam, Tetra Pak Vietnam, and RMIT Vietnam. Panelists highlighted the potential of AI to personalize learning, improve research capacity, and strengthen links between universities and businesses

The event also built on the Sectoral Strategic Partnership signed in June 2025 between Sweden and Vietnam, aimed at deepening cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Sweden’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Johan Ndisi, said the Nobel dialogue “celebrates innovation while reinforcing Sweden’s support for Vietnam’s digital transformation.”
Aligned with Resolution No.57, which positions science and digital transformation as drivers of growth, the event underscored Vietnam’s ambition to become a regional hub for AI and advanced technologies by 2030.
