The agreement was reached during talks in Stockholm on Friday between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Swedish counterpart Ulf Kristersson.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding market access through effective implementation of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), aiming to bring bilateral trade to 3 billion USD in the near future.

The two sides pledged to deepen cooperation in multiple areas, including innovation, high technology, nuclear energy, semiconductors, green transition, and digital transformation. They also agreed to enhance training collaboration, especially in developing high-quality human resources.

The leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern, including the East Sea.
