Disadvantaged people nationwide have received Tet gifts, attended a “Zero-Dong Market,” and participated in meaningful activities, all part of the "Volunteer Spring – Compassionate Tet" program.

In Thai Nguyen, the provincial Red Cross Society is mobilizing donations to distribute 15,000 Tet gifts, each worth 22 USD, to poor and near-poor households, policy beneficiaries, Agent Orange victims, disaster-affected households, and other vulnerable groups.
Kieu Thi Thao, President of the Thai Nguyen provincial Red Cross Society, said: “This year, we persuaded many organizations, individuals, and businesses to contribute to our charity activities. The number of gifts is more than last year. Today, we distributed gifts to 500 disadvantaged households. Each received 23 items worth 120 USD.”
In Chu Kpo commune, Krong Buk district, Dak Lak province, the Red Cross Society collaborated with local agencies to help students and families in need, distribute gifts, and provide free medical checkups and medicine. These efforts have fostered a spirit of sharing and solidarity.
Tran Thi Phuong Thu, Permanent Vice President of the Dak Lak Red Cross Society, said: “We were expected to deliver 35,000 Tet gifts, but we’ve managed to deliver 65,000 gifts, each worth 15-22 USD. Gift-giving activities are being carried out across districts.”
Charity activities are underway nationwide to ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can welcome the Lunar New Year with joy and hope.
