For years, voluntary blood donation has been a practical and meaningful act of many Vietnamese young people. Every unit of blood donated gives a chance at life to someone in need and embodies the motto “Wherever help is needed, young people are there; wherever challenges arise, youth take the lead”.

Gia An, a student at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, said: “Donating blood on a regular basis spreads positive values throughout the community. It’s not only beneficial for the recipients, it’s also good for the donors themselves.”

Blood donation is seen as part of a positive, humane lifestyle by today’s youth. Tung Le, a Hanoi resident, said: “In my opinion, blood donation shows a strong sense of social responsibility on the part of young people.”

The voluntary blood donation movement continues to expand thanks to the efforts of youth organizations and volunteers.

We encourage other people to donate blood to patients in need. We believe our efforts will save lives and give desperate patients a second chance.”
