With the motto "friendship, respect, thoughtfulness, safety, savings, and efficiency", since the beginning of this year the Organizing Committee has approved the overall project on preparation and organization and carried out specific work. The Conference’s logo, identification, and website were introduced in August. The website nghisi.quochoi.vn is available in Vietnamese and English and is linked to the website of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

The Youth Union has organized training classes for volunteers and communicators serving the event. 200 volunteers and communicators who are fluent in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese were informed of reception work and how to handle arising situations.

Secretary General of the National Assembly and Chairman of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong told a press conference on Tuesday: “Preparation for the agenda, reception, logistics, security, healthcare, and communication have been finalized. The Vietnamese National Assembly has coordinated with the IPU, foreign representative agencies in Vietnam, and Parliaments of other countries to ensure the best organization of the conference. The volunteers will meet the needs of all delegates and special events.”

The Organizing Committee deems that this event is an opportunity to widely promote to international friends Vietnam’s cultural traditions, people, foreign policy, and socio-economic achievements. About 300 reporters from 80 domestic and foreign press agencies in Vietnam have registered to cover the event. The Press Center will open on Wednesday at the National Convention Center, where the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians’ Conference will take place.

Zeina Hial, Director of the IPU Young Parliamentarians Program, expressed her belief that with its thorough preparation, Vietnam is the perfect host for the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians’ Conference.
