After 3 community infections were confirmed in Da Nang last week, strong disease prevention measures have been reactivated: kindergartens have shut down, crowds of more than 30 people are banned, festivals, religious activities, sporting events and other public gatherings have been postponed, and non-essential services such as spas, karaoke bars, and pubs are closed for 14 days.

The Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee on Sunday asked all local agencies, companies, and factories to check employees’ temperatures at the entrance, instructed the public to wear masks, and ordered stronger enforcement of rules in quarantine areas.

The HCM City People’s Committee asked departments, agencies, and local authorities to tighten disease prevention measures.

The Quang Ninh People’s Committee asked departments, sectors and localities to strictly obey disease prevention regulations and strengthen immigration inspection.

Dang Huy Hau, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said: “Quang Ninh province has requested border, police, and customs forces to tighten controls at the border to prevent illegal immigration. We are also tightening the management of guests staying at guest houses, hotels, and tourist resorts.”

The Border Guard High Command on Sunday activated all disease prevention measures and sent 8 missions to inspect border provinces. The same day, the Ministry of Transport sent a letter to transport agencies in cities and provinces asking for stronger disease prevention on public transportation.
