In implementing the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030, Quang Ninh province has focused resources on digital transformation in industries and sectors that have competitive advantages, in order to practice values to businesses and local people.

As a role model in boosting economic growth, Quang Ninh province has strengthened the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) Program, expanding it to a new development stage of boosting e-commerce.

70% of the province’s 3-star OCOP products are marketed and traded on e-commerce platforms like Voso, Postmart, and Tiki as well as through traditional channels such as agents, retailers, and fairs.

The Quang Ninh OCOP e-commerce platform (https://ocopquangninh.com.vn) promotes 393 OCOP products of 3 to 5 stars, including Binh Lieu vermicelli, Ba Che yellow camellia, Van Don fish sauce, Dong Trieu agricultural specialties, Co To seafood, Tien Yen chicken, and Dong Rui sea-duck eggs.

Nguyen Van Duy, Director of the Song Cam Company in Dong Trieu town, said: “Businesses have been successful selling on e-commerce platforms. Customers across the country know about our products. Recently a company in Hai Phong started exporting Song Cam fish sauce to Australia and it has been popular there.”

Traditional forms of commerce have also enjoyed the benefits of digital transformation. The most notable digital market model is "Market 4.0". Since 2022, 13 localities have pushed cashless payments at traditional markets, as well as at shopping centers and administrative agencies, and for services such as healthcare, education, electricity, and water.

Ly Hoai Nam, a tourist from Son La, said: “There are many cashless payment points in Quang Ninh, which are very convenient. Tourists only need to scan a payment code with their smartphone.”

Quang Ninh will continue to promote digital transformation to create new momentum for economic growth.
