Vietnam’s selection by the World Travel Awards demonstrates the outstanding appeal of its heritage system with 9 world natural and cultural heritage sites, 15 intangible cultural heritages, and 10 documentary heritages recognized by UNESCO, along with numerous national relics and cultural heritage sites.
Natural landscapes, culture, and community identity give Vietnam a distinctive charm and make it a favored destination for international travelers.
Phạm Duy Nghia, Director of Vietfoot Travel and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Travel Association, said: “This award enhances Vietnam’s appeal and strongly spreads its image worldwide. Every time Vietnam is named at the World Travel Awards, it’s a global promotion campaign without any cost. Images of Vietnam’s heritages in the media are drawing visitors back again after the COVID pandemic and expanding Vietnamese tourism to new markets like South America, the Middle East, and Northern Europe and enhance the younger generation’s interest in culture and heritage.”
Repeated recognition over multiple years affirms Vietnam’s enduring appeal to foreign tourists, and reflects localities and tourism businesses’ persistent efforts to conserve resources, improve tourism products, and maintain service quality.
Le Van Du, General Director of the Huong Nam Viet Tour Company, said: “This award boosts Vietnam’s tourism industry and travel enterprises. We are aware of our responsibility to continue developing new and attractive tourism products that meet international visitors’ expectations.”
At the World Travel Awards 2025, Vietnamese travel agencies, airlines, and tourism service providers were also honored in multiple categories, reflecting Vietnam’s strong tourism development.
