The Festival will transform the walking streets around Hoan Kiem Lake and several districts of Hanoi into a cultural spectacle for four days from Thursday to Sunday. 150 booths along Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Le Thach Street, and the Octagonal House area will showcase Hanoi’s rich heritage.
Visitors can step into recreations of Hanoi’s past – a city adorned with flags and flowers to welcome its victorious army, a poetic display called "Hanoi – 12 Seasons of Flowers". a culinary space called "The Fragrance and Color of Hanoi", and booths showcasing products from Hanoi's renowned craft villages.
In addition to these displays, the festival will have an exhibition on the theme "Hanoi autumn – historic autumn," and discussions and tours celebrating Hanoi as a unique autumn destination. A festival highlight will be demonstrations staged by Hanoi’s traditional craft villages, offering visitors a deep dive into the city’s artisan culture.
The event will bring together major players in tourism and trade, including the Hanoi Tourism Association, the Hoan Kiem Tourism Association, and a number of travel clubs. 15 provinces and cities, including Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, and Quang Ninh, will participate to foster tourism cooperation between regions.
Nguyen Tien Dat, Vice President of the Hanoi Tourism Association, said: "The festival will offer an array of experiences, including seven Hanoi tours designed to immerse visitors in the capital’s autumn charm. These range from leisurely walks through the city’s flower-filled streets, sampling Vong village’s young green rice, to exploring the historic Old Quarter and historical relic sites and visiting Duong Lam Ancient Village. Visitors can also enjoy cultural highlights such as the Quintessence of the Red River Delta and a trip to Quang Phu Cau village in Ung Hoa district, famous for its incense-making tradition."
The Hanoi Autumn Festival is not just a celebration of culture and tourism. It’s an effort to preserve traditional values and boost Hanoi's socio-economic development. It promises to be a memorable event.
