70 diverse art works on the theme of Hanoi were selected from the collection of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.
The Museum’s Director, Dr. Nguyen Anh Minh, said: “The exhibition is displayed in the chronological order of Hanoi’s historical periods, including Hanoi's Uprising to seize power, Hanoi’s resistance, Hanoi on liberation day, and Hanoi’s 5 gates welcoming the liberation troops. In addition to traditional works, the exhibition will include a slideshow and experiential spaces.”
“Hanoi vitality and confidence” features authentic and vivid images of Hanoi’s vitality and unceasing rise and the people’s faith in their capital city.

Linh Chi, a student of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, said: “I really like these paintings. When I heard about the exhibition, I visited the fanpage of the Museum of Fine Arts to get more information. Seeing the exhibit with my own eyes was like reliving that glorious period of the nation’s history.”
As part of the exhibition, an Art Talk called “Master Painter Nguyen Tu Nghiem - Connecting Traditional Aesthetic Values with the Contemporary” will be held on Saturday. Nguyen Tu Nghiem was born in Nghe An province in 1918 and died in 2016. He was one of Vietnam’s most famous painters.
