Leaders of the State Audit Office of Vietnam have always considered external relations an important component of development. They have expanded cooperation with other supreme audit institutions and international organizations to learn best practices.

The State Audit Office of Vietnam joined the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions in 1996 and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions in 1997. It was one of three founders of the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions in 2011. As an active member of the international audit community, the State Audit Office of Vietnam has hosted many successful events.

The 13th ASOSAI in 2015 selected the State Audit Office of Vietnam to organize its 14th conference in 2018. Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc said: “We’re proud that supreme audit institutions elected the State Audit Office of Vietnam as Chair of ASOSAI 2018-2021. We’ll lead ASOSAI members to effectively implement the organization’s plans for this Congress, reach unity and consensus, and share auditing experience.”

The State Audit Office of Vietnam will be a member of the ASOSAI Executive Board for three consecutive terms from 2015 to 2024 and will be the ASOSAI Chair for the 2018-2021 term.
