The discussions focused on cooperation in the semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, cybersecurity, as well as robotics development, aerospace technology, and advanced manufacturing. Delegates also exchanged views on strategic technology infrastructure and financial resources to support technology cooperation projects between the two countries, with the participation of representatives from Intel, Qualcomm, and US development finance agencies.

In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to the United States Nguyen Quoc Dung said Vietnam has identified 11 strategic technology sectors to promote growth and position in the global value chain. So, cooperation with the United States is significant as the US is a leading global center for technology and innovation, while Vietnam has a dynamic economy, a young workforce, and a rapidly developing innovation ecosystem, he added.
