During the visit, the delegation paid a courtesy call to the Commander of Region 4 of the Indian Coast Guard and visited their rescue and training center. They took part in environmental protection activities and sports games exchanges, and coordinated joint exercises on search and rescue, fire prevention and fighting, and oil spill response at sea.

The Vietnamese Coast Guard sending a ship to visit and exchange with the Indian Coast Guard has profound political and diplomatic significance as it served as a bridge of friendship, coordination and trust between the two forces. The visit contributed to deepening the relationship between the two countries' maritime law enforcement forces, making it more substantive and effective.
