It’s part of a research program until 2024 to help the Party and State outline plans and policies for Vietnam's seas and oceans from now until 2035, with a vision until 2045.

Participants discussed marine economic development in the central coastal areas which boast great potential for for fisheries, aquaculture, natural resource exploitation, renewable energy development, maritime transportation, and tourism development.
