At the conference, Voice of Vietnam Vice President Pham Manh Hung said VOV reporters braved difficulties and travelled to near-shore islands and the Truong Sa archipelago, the DK1 platform to reflect the will and determination of officers and soldiers in sea and island defense, search and rescue, and support for fishermen at sea. With the coordination and support of the Navy, the arts-politics program called “Get Rich from the Homeland Sea” was successful and made a deep impression on the public.

The program was jointly produced by VOV, Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission, the General Department of Politics, and Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Hung said.

He expected that the Navy will coordinate more closely with news agencies, including VOV, to disseminate more truthful, touching and appealing information and images about navy soldiers.

Hung said: “Voice of Vietnam looks forward to working closely with the Navy units to provide information that reflects the forces in the richest, most vivid and attractive way on various platforms. We call on the Navy and other forces and units to create favorable conditions for our reporters to do their job of program making for VOV.”

On this occasion, the Navy awarded Certificates of Merit to 16 collectives and 24 individuals of the press agencies for their outstanding achievements. VOV received one collective Certificate of Merit and one individual Certificate of Merit.
