They engaged in sports competitions with officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard, and joint search and rescue drills as well as fire fighting and prevention exercises at sea.

The first Vietnam visit by the Indonesian Coast Guard ship was part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two countries' coast guard forces, signed in 2021. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
